Anwar Sadat has moved the court against the owners and editors of Jayakiran newspaper for publishing false and derogatory news under the headline “Act by drug gang” with the portrait of Abdullah Hannan, son of SDPI leader Anwar Sadat, about a case of North Police Station.
A defamation suit of around one crore rupees has been filed and the defendants have been issued summons by the Senior 2nd Additional Civil Court, Mangalore.
It also ordered the defendants to appear before the court.
Lex Juris Law Chamber Mangalore’s lawyers Asif Baikadi, Ismail Shafi Baikampadi, Mufida Mudipu filed the suit.
